Great news! I've joined Judy Inc. as one of their new prop-stylists and room-set designers! This is a such an amazing mark on the exciting, but crazy journey of my career. For quite some time now I've been working as a prop-stylist, seeking out as many editorial, commercial and personal projects as I could possibly fit in. Last year while living in the Gulf and working as an Asst. Creative Director for a media company, I had the chance to really hone and develop my prop-styling skills, both in editorial work and advertising. I've had the pleasure and privilege to work with Ant Farm Journal in creating several shoots and editorial stories for their beautiful, Southern-focused, kinfolk-esque publication. I've contributed to Mingle Magazine and now this year I've been taken on at Judy Inc. one of the premier talent agencies in Canada. Really though, all this accomplishment is not mine to own, it really belongs to all the amazing artists, photographers, magazines, friends, business owners and entrepreneurs who took a chance on me and who lent their skills and abilities to help capture my work.
Getting work as an entrepreneur is one of the hardest struggles you can face. Sometimes your plate is overflowing with work, too much work to even tackle by yourself and then there are times when you go weeks without work and start to worry as the bills pile up. Being selected to be a part of an agency is such a blessing and an answer to those incredible dry spells, so when Claudine De Repentigny asked me to come in for an interview and concluded that interview by telling me I was part of the team; I was elated! Judy Inc. helps create amazing content for clients like Elle Quebec, Glow, Dress to Kill Magazine, The Globe and Mail and Holt Renfrew just to name a few. Being a part of such a talented agency is really a dream come true and I can't wait to see what this next year holds!
Thank you to all the amazing people who helped me get this far, I truly couldn't have managed without you. What is success except being able to do what you love with other talented people who love what they do?
Currently at Autumn Wood Stylist HQ we are cozying up to a steamy Americano and watching the snow slowly fall on the park across the street!
